Karisma Illuzon Powers Live AR Coverage Across SBS, YTN and MBN for Korea’s 2026 Local Election

During the live coverage of Korea’s 2026 Local Elections on June 3, VRi’s real-time broadcast AR system, Karisma Illuzon, was deployed across three major broadcasters — SBS, YTN, and MBN — supporting election-night production workflows.

Korea’s local elections are among the most demanding live broadcast events in the country, with seven categories of public office contested on the same day. The broadcast required real-time visualization of vote-counting data for approximately 8,000 candidates throughout the night.

VRi deployed a total of six Karisma Illuzon systems, with two systems supporting each broadcaster, to help deliver more than 16 hours of continuous live election coverage. Across three broadcasters with different production environments, Illuzon supported real-time election-data AR graphics and camera-tracking workflows. No system downtime, software crashes, or real-time data integration issues were reported during the deployment.

The project marked one of the largest simultaneous deployments of Karisma Illuzon to date and demonstrated the platform’s reliability in real-world, data-driven AR broadcast environments.

VRi will continue developing practical AR and virtual studio solutions designed to meet the evolving needs of live broadcast production.
